WEEK 6 REVIEW AND TITLE GAME PREVIEW Offensive Player of the Week: Eric Wellmon, RB, Navy (Wallkill, N.Y.) Wellmon continued his incredible season by rushing for a career-high 227 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries to lead Navy to a convincing win over Franklin Pierce. He also scored a two-point conversion to account for 20 of the team’s 45 points in the game. Wellmon owns five of the top six single-game rushing efforts in the league this year and has run for 1,138 yards. He needs just 15 yards in the season finale to break the Navy single-season record. WEEK 5: PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Corey Garcia, WR, Navy (San Diego, Calif.) Garcia led Navy to a 42-30 win over Cornell to keep the Midshipmen in a tie with Army atop the CSFL standings. He recorded 213 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in the game. Garcia racked up 126 receiving yards, including touchdown grabs of 59 and 53 yards, ran for 43 yards on seven carries, including a four-yard TD, and recorded 44 yards on punt returns. WEEK 4 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Mike Maniscalco, QB, Mansfield (Williamstown, N.J.) Maniscalco completed 24-of-44 passing attempts for 380 yards and five touchdowns, breaking the school record for attempts, completions, yards and touchdowns in a game and throwing for more yards against Army than the Black Knights had allowed all year combined. His 78-yard toss for his fifth TD of the night was also a school record. The Army defense had only allowed a total of 329 passing yards and two passing TD’s over its first three games of the season, combined. WEEK 3: PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: J.J. Wartski, QB, Army (Orlando, Fla.) Wartski had a career-night in leading a dominant Army attack to a 49-7 win over Cornell. The senior quarterback completed 19-of-25 pass attempts for 266 yards and a career-high five touchdowns. He connected with his favorite target Tucker Van Dyke on a season-long 64-yard TD pass and was named the Army Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for his performance.
