2016 Week 6 Review

Week six of the CSFL season saw the three top teams in the league all put up convincing wins with Penn remaining undefeated and Army West Point and Navy each staying one game back of the Quakers. Week six also saw Cornell come away with a win over Post in the closest game of the week. WEEK 6 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Rob Pannullo, QB, Cornell (North Caldwell, N.J.) Pannullo factored into three of Cornell’s four touchdowns in a 27-13 win over Post in week six. He was 7-of-14 passing for 88 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions and also ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for an average of 5.5 yards per carry. 2016 Week 5 Review

Week five of the CSFL season saw Army West Point and Navy run away with shutout wins and Franklin Pierce come away with a narrow victory on the road at Mansfield in the only close game of the week. First place Penn was on a bye, as was Cornell. WEEK 5 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Brandon Clements, RB, Navy (Miami, Fla.) Clements has been the leading rusher in the CSFL all year, so it's only fitting he is finally being recognized. In Navy's dominant 43-0 win over Chestnut Hill last week, he rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns in one half before taking a seat in the second half. The 149-yard effort is the most for any player in a single-game in the CSFL this season.

2016 Week 4 Review

The fourth week of the CSFL season saw one of the biggest shakeups of the last decade with Penn defeating Navy in overtime to improve to 4-0. The Quakers swept both service academies this season for just the second time and are now in the driver’s seat for the CSFL crown. Chestnut Hill also scored a close victory over Post in week four and Army West Point rolled by Cornell in the third game of the week. WEEK 4 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Mike McCurdy, QB, Penn (Bethesda, Md.) The third week of the CSFL season saw Penn and Navy remain unbeaten atop the league standings, setting up a massive showdown for week four. Week three also saw Army West Point bounce back from a loss in a big way with a shutout over Mansfield and Chestnut Hill earn its first official league win over Cornell. WEEK 3 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Michael Marino, QB, Chestnut Hill (Blue Bell, Pa.) Michael Marino had a hand in all four touchdowns for Chestnut Hill as the Griffins earned their first CSFL win with a 29-24 victory over Cornell last week.
