Franklin Pierce statement

The below statement was produced by the Franklin Pierce athletic department and details their planned changes for the 2018 schedule and beyond. Franklin Pierce will make the move to NCAA Division II football in 2019 and will not be a member of the CSFL following this season. With that move in mind and an inability to field a full roster within the weight limits of the CSFL rules, Franklin Pierce will alter its schedule and its games will no longer be counted towards league standings. 2018 Week 2 Review

The second week of the CSFL season saw Army West Point come away with a dramatic 17-14 victory on the road at archrival Navy, St. Thomas Aquinas improve to 2-0 in its inaugural season, Chestnut Hill defeat Mansfield in a game that featured 103 total points and Penn improve to 2-0 on the year with a low-scoring win over Cornell. WEEK 2 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Keegan West, QB, Army (West Point, N.Y.) West was impressive all night in a narrow win on the road at Navy, but came up clutch when he was needed most. 2018 Week 1 Review

The record setting first week of the CSFL season saw the first time in league history that 10 total teams competed in CSFL competition, thanks to inaugural member St. Thomas Aquinas playing, and winning, its first ever game. The first week of the season also saw defending champion Army West Point run its current winning streak to nine games. Other teams that picked up wins in week one included Navy, Penn and Cornell.
