Navy claims 2018 CSFL title

HILLBURN, N.Y. – The Navy sprint football team snapped Army West Point’s 14-game winning streak and won its first Collegiate Sprint Football League title since 2014 with a 24-10 victory over the Black Knights Saturday night in the CSFL Championship game. Navy finishes the year at 7-1 overall and claims its 37th CSFL title with the win, which is its first in the new two-division era of the league that includes the conference championship game. 2018 Week 8 Review

The final week of the regular season saw Army earn a convincing win over Cornell to capture the CSFL North Division, setting up the league title game between rivals Army and Navy this Saturday evening at St. Thomas Aquinas College. Week eight also saw Mansfield and Chestnut Hill improve to 4-3 to close the year and Navy improve to 6-1 heading into the title game.
