2019 Week 2 Review

The second week of the CSFL season saw Navy go into rival Army West Point and come away with a 14-7 win in a rematch of last year’s CSFL Championship game. Week two also saw inaugural program Alderson Broaddus pick up its first win in program history. WEEK 2 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Co- Offensive Player of the Week: Eddie Jenkins, QB, Penn (Pittsburgh, Pa.) Jenkins led the Quakers offense with seven total touchdowns in its 61-7 victory over Cornell. Jenkins was an efficient 11-for-12 passing for 221 yards and four touchdowns and added another three touchdowns on five carries for 34 yards. 2019 Week 1 Review

The first week of the 2019 CSFL season is in the books with Army West Point, Navy, Chestnut Hill, Cornell and Mansfield emerging with 1-0 records. The headline of the week was the Army at Penn game, which was settled by a field goal in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter to give the Black Knights a 24-21 victory. WEEK 1 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK Offensive Player of the Week: Will Griffen, RB, Cornell (Schuylerville, N.Y.) Griffen rushed for a league-high four touchdowns to go along with 114 yards in leading the Cornell offense to a 38-21 win on the road at Alderson Broaddus. 2019 CSFL Season Preview

The 2019 Collegiate Sprint Football League season will kick off this weekend with all 10 teams set to take the field, beginning Friday night with three games and concluding Saturday afternoon with two more games. The 2019 season will feature eight regular season weeks, including a week five bye for all teams the weekend of Oct. 11-12. The 2019 season also welcomes the newest member of the league, Alderson Broaddus, which will play its inaugural sprint football game Saturday at home against Cornell. Alderson Broaddus replaces Franklin Pierce, which departed the league to move up to the NCAA Division II level this year. The 10-member league will be split into two divisions, the North and South
